Senior Activities

The Senior Division offers a variety of ongoing programs for seniors 55 and up! 

DISCOVER WILLIAMSON 
Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the Fall Session information for the Discover Williamson program for seniors (55+). Active adults interested in learning more about Williamson County and the many homegrown opportunities to make a difference in our community are invited to enroll. 

Through lectures by Williamson County leaders, discussions and tours, the group will explore a number of topics including county history, government, economic development, health, community resources, and volunteering. 

The Fall 2008 session of Discover Williamson will meet every Tuesday from 9am to 2pm, September 11-October 16 at the Williamson County Enrichment Center (110 Everbright Ave.). Lunch and any group transportation are provided for each meeting. The program is open to all area seniors, age 55 and older and is limited to 30 participants. 

Registration is available online (activity code 12489), and the cost is $99 per participant. Participants may also register in person at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. For more information, please call (615) 786-0186, ext. 2519.

The Fall 2018 session is sponsored by Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Williamson Medical Center, The Fountains of Franklin, HealthSouth Franklin, Alive Hospice, NHC Cool Springs, and the Williamson County Sherriff's Office.

Join us at the Performing Arts Center for Senior Movie Days! Show times are at 1pm, with a general admission of $1 (includes popcorn and a drink).

SENIOR BOOK CLUB
Join us for reading and fun! This club meets the 1st Tuesday of each month from 2pm-3pm at the Enrichment Center. A new book is chosen each month by the participants. Let's review the New York Times Best Seller's List and outline a year of reading fun. SENIOR SINGING/KARAOKE CLUB
This club meets at the Enrichment Center the 1st Thursday of every month. Whether you are skilled or new to singing, join in the fun of learning and teaching others. Beginners are welcome! KNITTING CLUB

IPAD/IPHONE BEGINNER WORKSHOP
Have you recently upgraded from a flip phone to an iPhone? Or, have you had your iPhone for awhile and only use it for phone calls? If you have an iPhone or iPad and you are ready to learn the ins & outs of it, as well as how to take advantage of its many organizational tools and the countless number of apps you can add to it for even more fun, register today for this workshop! LUNCH & LEARN AT THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY ENRICHMENT CENTER
Thanks to Williamson County Medical Center, we will be brining you different medical and health topics each month from the beautiful Banquet Hall at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. A light lunch will be provided. Registration is required. This is a free event. OPEN ART STUDIO AT THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY ENRICHMENT CENTER
Express yourself through your own media in our Open Art Studio! Bring your own supplies and ideas. This class will help teach you new techniques and hone in on your artistic abilities. No registration required. Open Art Studio meets on Mondays from 9am-12pm. The cost is $2 for Enrichment Center pass holders and $4 for non-pass holders.

DULCIMER DANDIES AT THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY ENRICHMENT CENTER
Whether you are skilled or new to the dulcimer, you will enjoy practicing and learning with this group. They perform at senior events and other activities throughout the year. No registration required.For more information, please contact 615-786-0186, ext. 2519.

OPEN SENIOR GAMES AT THE ENRICHMENT CENTER
Come enjoy the spacious Senior Lounge for socialization, billiards, cards, games, puzzles, and much more. Come and go at your leisure, and free coffee is available all day. Access to the Senior Lounge is included with the general admission fee ($1) or free if you have the annual WCEC pass. The Senior Lounge is open from 7am-5pm on Monday-Friday and 8am-12pm on Saturday. Please see the Enrichment Center front desk for the complete schedule.

SENIOR GAMES AT NOLENSVILLE
Welcome seniors of the Nolensville Community! This is an open time frame for you and your friends, spouse or neighbor to utilize our game room for your own enjoyment. Whether you wan to play bridge, work on a knitting project or play some games, we are here for you every Thursday from 12pm-4pm. Some cards, games and puzzles are available. No registration required. FAIRVIEW SENIORS GROUP

Senior Citizens meet each Tuesday and Thursday in the seniors room at the Fairview Recreation Complex. At 10:30 a.m. everyone plays bingo. Members who enjoy playing Rook come early on meeting days and play until time for bingo. The seniors also have a pool table and the gentlemen play pool, both before and after the meeting. A covered dish lunch is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. The business meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and on this day we make plans for day trips or activities.
