Williamson County Parks and Recreation offers a variety of classes to keep seniors (55 and up) active, healthy and fit! Please see below for a complete list of all fitness and aqua fitness classes (by location).

Price Information: All classes have a walk-in fee or are free with either a Senior Fitness Pass, SilverSneakers® membership or Silver&Fit® participation. Healthways® Prime is also accepted.

Land-based Fitness Classes: $4 (ages 55 and up)

Aqua Stretch & Move

Gentlewater-based workout designed to stretch and tone the body and ease joint pain due to injury or arthritis while focusing on proper technique and improving flexibility.

Power Up! (Morning)
Medium to high intensity water-based workout using both shallow and deep water approaches with resistance tools.

Move!

Medium intensity water-based workout designed to strengthen, stretch and tone the body using both shallow and deep water approaches with resistance tools.

Rise and Shine 
Wake up to a high intensity water-based workout designed to promote muscular strength and cardio repertory endurance using both shallow and deep water approaches with resistance tools.

Power Tools
This class provides a fun and friendly atmosphere for active boomers to increase their overall strength and endurance.  Components of this class include elements of cardio, balance training, and core strengthening.  Wear comfortable clothes. 

Training Wheels
Learn to ride our Schwinn cycles in a safe and inspiring atmosphere. Enjoy a 30 minute class for 55 and over. Free from traffic woes, weather, or someone's pet! Excellent for building lower body strength and blasting calories!

SilverSneakers® Classic
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and an exercise ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

SilverSneakers® Yoga
Come join us to improve joint range of movement, strength and balance-and relax! Learn safe moves and breathing exercises to reduce stress and improve mental clarity.

Zumba Gold®
Zumba Gold® takes the popular Latin-dance inspired workout of Zumba®, and makes it accessible for seniors, beginners, or others needing modifications in their exercise routine. This easy-to-follow choreography will help build cardiovascular health by challenging the heart and working out the muscles of the hips, legs and arms. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong!

Advanced Senior Yoga
Interested in a floor based yoga class that doesn't tie you up in knots or make you dizzy? Come join us to improve joint range of motion, strength, and balance while challenging the body with poses that move you gently from the floor to a stand and back down again. By working from the floor, we are equipped to increase upper body and core strength.

SilverSneakers Classic®
Join us for strength training, movement, brain stimulation, and fun! This class is focused on the 55 and older population who need benefits of a "less strenuous' workout. Chairs provide stability for the "balance challenged" participant. This class meets on Mondays and Fridays from 10am-11am.

SilverSneakers® Yoga
Come join us to improve joint range of movement, strength and balance-and relax! Learn safe moves and breathing exercises to reduce stress and improve mental clarity.

Cardio Pilates
This class offers cardiovascular exercise, endurance, flexibility and fun!

Aerobic Fit
This class is a fun, energizing class for seniors who are more active. Incorporating flexibility, cardio conditioning, balance and strength to burn calories. This class provides a total body workout that can be adapted to different fitness levels. This class meets on Wednesdays from 10am-11am.

Integral Tai Chi
Integral Tai Chi combines Yoga and Tai Chi to focus on 4 key elements: balance, flexibility, breathing and meditation. Every movement is designed to impove and build the structure of the body, the internal organs, and, most importantly, to relieve the stress in your body mentally and physically- the result is improved total well-being.

Strength, Stretch & Stability
Come join us to improve joint range of movement, strength and balance...and RELAX! Learn safe moves and breathing exercises to reduce stress and improve mental clarity. This class meets on Thursdays from 10am-10:45am.

Zumba Gold
Zumba Gold® takes the popular Latin-dance inspired workout of Zumba® and makes it accessible for seniors, beginners or others needing modifications in their exercise routine. This easy-to-follow choreography will help build cardiovascular health by challenging the heart and working out the muscles of the hips, legs, and arms. This class meets on Fridays from 2pm-2:15pm

Senior Yoga
Geared towards older adults, this class will focus on balance, strength and flexibility. By encouraging our bodies to remain flexible and active, we can be engaged mentally and physically, while working to achieve overall wellness.

Senior Circuit
Senior Circuit will focus on cardiovascular fitness and strength training to get your heart rate up and tone muscles all in one class. Circuit training is one of the best ways to increase muscle endurance and burn more calories. All fitness levels are welcome. Join us for a class!

Senior Cycle
Our senior indoor cycling class offers an easy-to-follow and exhilarating workout! Enjoy the many benefits of indoor cycling while having a blast in a lively atmosphere. Excellent for building lower body strength and blasting calories, this class is suitable for all fitness levels. No prior experience is necessary.

Starting November 28! SilverSneakers Classic

Advanced Yoga Strength is fun workout that fuses functional strength, balance and flexibility with added benefits of resistance. With the safe use of hand-weights, one can enjoy enhanced muscular toning, shaping benefits and overall feeling of mind/body strength.

Aerobic Fit

Barre Above Senior
Improve your balance and strength with this low impact barre class using light weights and stretching with yoga inspired sequences.

Get moving with this Latin inspired dance and aerobic exercise class! Zumba Senior builds cardiovascular health by challenging the heart and working the muscles of the hips, legs and arms with dance moves. Perfect for active adults who want to improve range of motion and strengthen their posture in a lower impact workout.

Starting April 4 SilverSneakers Circuit
Combine fun with fitness with this standing circuit workout designed to increase your cardiovascular and muscle endurance. You'll do upper body strength exercises using hand held weights, elastic tubes with handles and a SilverSneakers ball; plus you'll get in a low-impact aerobic workout. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
