Below is a description of some of the unique sports and programs we will offer through Senior Athletics
Ladder Golf - Easy to learn, ladder golf is much like corn hole, it is a partner game with two game ladders that are spaced about 15 feet apart. Ladder Golf is played in rounds, each round consists of a player from each team tossing 3 bolas (a string with a ball attached to each end). The first player tosses all 3 bolas, then the opposing player tosses their 3 bolas, that is considered a round. The next round the other two teammates have a turn. The first one to 21 without going over is the winner! The top rung is worth 3 points, middle is 2 and bottom rung is 1 point. A fun and easy game that will still get you moving!
Pickleball- Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court: 20’ x 44,’ with a whiffle ball type ball, a square ping pong paddle, and the net lowered like a tennis net. The first side scoring eleven points and leading by at least two points wins. Pickleball can be played with singles or doubles. Pickleball can be as fast or slow as you want it and is very kind to beginners!
Open Gym– With open gym there will be numerous sports for you to enjoy during the open gym designated time. All sports can be modified to the participant.
