Youth / Children's Classes

Williamson County Parks & Recreation understands the importance of getting children MOVING!  We want them to learn the benefits of having an active and healthy lifestyle, teaching them to take care of themselves as well as the world in which they live.  We also want them to have enrichment programs that help to cultivate a desire for life-long learning.  WCPR offers a multitude of programs to engage your child all year long. While you come to enjoy your workout – we will keep your child active and engaged too! Parker-Anderson Enrichment motto is "Fun Comes First" with the intention of educating through hands-on learning. This summer we have partnered with them to offer SIX awesome camps! Learn to make potions in the Hogwarts Academy, test out you culinary skills in the Cooking Academy, or build robots and cars in one of the building workshops!

Explosions, bubbling potions, chemical reactions! Kids make elephant toothpaste, freeze fruit with liquids nitrogen, create 20 foot geysers with cool chemicals and learn about the elements on our huge periodic table. Totally hands-on and age appropriate.

We'll be singing and dancing through the best movie musicals Disney has to offer! With Catchy tunes and danced from movies like Mary Poppins, Snow White, & Jungle Book to the newest favorites like Frozen, Moana, and more! Daily instruction will include singing, dancing, and acting in preparation of a special showcase for parents, family, and friends at the end of the week. 

"Hairspray to Hamilton" Musical Revue:
July  23rd - 27th 9:00am-2:00pm
Ages: 7-17

Warm up your vocal cords because you're going to want to sign up for this brand new musical revue written and directed by Julia Nolen & Shana Purkey. This Broadway style intensive summer camp will showcase a wide range of music - from energetic group numbers to stirring ballads. Whether you love new smash hits like Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, & Wicked or classics like A Chorus Line and Hairspray, there's something sure to please everyone. This camp will fill up fast, so don't wait!

In this class, students will learn the martial art of Tae Kwon-Do. Students that learn the art of Tae Kwon-Do also gain the benefit of learning the techniques and ways of self defense, which can generate higher self-esteem and confidence. Eddie Manor is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and has over 37 years of experience with the art of Tae Kwon-Do.
