Community Events

One of the Program Division’s favorite aspects of what we do is to create fun and engaging events for the residents of our community.  Nothing pleases us more than seeing our hard work and preparations culminate in families spending quality time having fun together, sharing smiles and laughter.  Our department is proud to say that we offer, on average, around 60 Community Events per year in all corners of Williamson County.  Annual favorites include Father & Daughter Dances, Touch-A-Truck, Egg Hunts, Breakfast with Santa, Pool Parties, Concerts in the Park and many more.

Skate Night  MayFairview Friday Nite Skate—$5

The Fairview Recreation Complex gymnasium turns into a skating ring one Friday out of every month. All skill levels welcome so bring your own skates and learn to skate circles around your friends! Have a blast listing to music, playing games, and of course racing from 6:30pm- 8:30pm. Concessions are available. No registration required.

You are invited to the third annual Kid’s Arts Festival hosted by the City of Franklin at Pinkerton Park from 10am—3pm! Come create beautiful artwork with us at one of the many craft booths sponsored by local businesses. Each booth offers a unique craft and experience. Don’t miss out on the chance to participate in this year's installation as attendees will help create a large glass tile mosaic. Original art pieces from students K-12 grade students that will be on display as part of a juried show.  Young artists will also have the opportunity to sell their artwork during the festival.

SE Pooch a PaloozaPooch-a-Palooza—Spectators FREE, Competitors $10

Celebrate man’s best friend at the Pooch-a-Palooza dog show and expo. Looking for a pet sitter or vet? Get to know local businesses that care about your pets just as much as you do. Vendors include local vets, groomers, dog boarders, and pet supply shops. Adoptable dogs will also be on site from the Williamson County Animal Control with their mobile adoption center.

Think your dog is the best? Now is your chance to prove it, for only $10 register your k-9 friend for one or more of our competitions which include best dressed best trick, best agility course time and best retriever. All skill levels are welcome to compete in this friendly competition! The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit will also hold a special demonstration you won’t want to miss! This event is FREE for spectators and their pets but registration is required to compete.

Join us poolside for an afterhours "under the sea" themed pool party! The pool deck will be transformed into an ocean oasis for a family fun night of music, food and activities. Hang out on the shore or take a plunge! Our DJ will have you causing a wake as you splash to the latest music. Dry games will be set up on deck for those beach bums and water games will take place throughout the night for those looking to get soaked! Food Trucks will also be available for dinner and concessions. Pre-registration is required! Cost is $5 per person or $20 for a family of 4 or more.

Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series

11:00 AM to 1 PM

Join us at the amphitheater outside the Williamson County Enrichment Center (110 Everbright Avenue, next to the library) for live music and food. Bring your own lunch and a chair (or picnic blanket), or buy your lunch from a food truck on site. Free to attend. Bring your co-workers or your friends and get out of the office for a little break. Event is weather dependent.
