Community Events

One of the Program Division’s favorite aspects of what we do is to create fun and engaging events for the residents of our community.  Nothing pleases us more than seeing our hard work and preparations culminate in families spending quality time having fun together, sharing smiles and laughter.  Our department is proud to say that we offer, on average, around 60 Community Events per year in all corners of Williamson County.  Annual favorites include Father & Daughter Dances, Touch-A-Truck, Egg Hunts, Breakfast with Santa, Pool Parties, Halloween Events and many more.

The Williamson County Community Band is an all-volunteer band of amateur and seasoned musicians.  This inter-generational group features nearly 60 musicians ranging in age from 9 to 90+ and is made up of all skill levels.  Everyone is welcome to pick up their instrument and join the band.  Started in 2000, this band has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years throughout Williamson County and the surrounding mid-state area.  Averaging 9 concerts a year, they perform free indoor and outdoor concerts for the community at various venues and parks, including The Factory, Aspen Grove, Westhaven, Crockett Amphitheatre and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.   For information on joining the band or scheduling a concert, please contact alisonw@williamson-tn.org or call 615-786-0186 ext. 2513.

Spooks and CoupesSpooks & Coupes - Trunk or Treat

Are you ready for a spooktacular time? Come in costume and enjoy a Trunk-or-Treat showcasing a mini car show of classical and modified cars. Our sponsors and volunteers will be passing out candy as well as other novelties and treats! Families will enjoy live performances from the entertainment stage, bounce houses, sensory activities and crafts, trackless train, petting zoo, and pony rides. This event will take place on the fields and walking trail behind the Franklin Recreation Center. Register in advance to save time at the gate, click HERE to pay ahead!

Motor Fest
Do you have a show quality car, truck, motorcycle or other automotive? Here is your chance to share your knowledge and enthusiasm for all things automotive by participating in our indoor show! No registration fee to exhibit a car, truck or motorcycle, but pre-registration is required.
